This game offers a strategic and engaging experience for players by allowing them to select three out of nine unique participants, each characterized by distinct playing styles and dialogue. The gameplay adheres to classic Hearts rules, where the opening lead is the two of Clubs. Points are allocated with hearts worth 1 point each and the Queen of Spades carrying a penalty of 13 points. A notable element is the 'Shooting the Moon' mechanic, which inflicts a substantial 26-point deficit on opponents if successfully achieved.

The game further enhances its complexity with optional scoring variations: the Jack of Diamonds incurs a negative score of -10 points, while failing to take any tricks results in a penalty of -3 points. Additionally, the 'Twanger' rule introduces an intriguing twist by resetting scores that are multiples of 25 to the average of the remaining high and low scores at the conclusion of each hand.

Another layer of strategy is introduced through the 'Magic Number', which is randomly selected and counts as a Twanger hit, accompanied by a 10-point penalty called an Asterisk at game’s end. Asterisks are also assigned for infractions such as looking at the Kitty when not permitted and for leading a Heart prior to their official break. Notably, only the player who first wins a Heart is allowed to view the Kitty.
